Hosting Introductory Playback Theatre Workshops

In Playback Theatre, everyone's real-life stories can come to life on the spot by an ensemble using improvisation, voice, movement, and theatre. The result may be joyous, sad, funny, or powerful, but it will always stem from a place of honesty in honoring the teller's (your!) story. Allison and her fellow Playbackers from the Illinois State Playback Theatre Ensemble will lead two introductory workshops to Playback Theatre. No experience necessary, all are welcome! The only requirement is that you think storytelling is cool :) Also, workshops are FREE! PART 1 - Intro to basic Playback principles. Learn Fluid Sculptures, Pairs, and dip a toe into Long Form. November 10th from 1pm - 3pm at the Chicago Public Library Merlo Branch 644 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60657 (near the Belmont el stop)
